Harsco Environmental is the premier provider of material processing and environmental services to the global steel and metals industries. Our onsite mill services and resource recovery services offer sustainable solutions that maximize environmental benefit and return valuable raw material into production. We also have developed a range of by-products for specialized applications across industry, construction and agriculture, which utilize Harsco’s expertise in mineral materials.
Develops and maintains a market for slag and byproducts sales for Company profit.
- Proactively grow, develop, and manage slag sales within the Durham region and surrounding area
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Plan, manage and maintain regular contact with customers, visit customers locations and Harsco site location in Whitby
- Manage technical follow ups on diverse projects where Harsco’s eco-products are being used and work with operations to adjust performance of products accordingly.
- Interact with local authorities on environmental and technical topics.
- Interact with organizations in the manufacturing and construction industries
Basic Qualifications:
Highschool diploma or GED is required, Post-secondary education in related field is preferred
Minimum 3-5 years progressive experience in aggregate sales
Experience in selling products or goods in a manufacturing, construction or industrial setting
Ability to travel in the Durham region and surrounding area. Day travel would be frequent, overnight travel would be infrequent.
Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field
Experience in steel mill and/or aggregate products setting
Demonstrated knowledge of product line and its use
Demonstrated knowledge of local environmental regulations
Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills
Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services.
