Managers the execution of Clean Earth commercial strategies and product/service offerings that are focused on compliance solutions/professional services. Provides the technical compliance and regulatory support for the execution of professional services to maximize revenue and profits through maintenance of existing customers, growth within existing customers, and through acquiring new customers. Works closely with Sales leadership to grow revenue and profits. Provides technical professional services to customer both remotely and in person across all Clean Earth Verticals.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Commercial
Helps prepare data for the presentation to all top accounts for regulatory content updates (Quarterly Business Review purposes)
Engages with customers legal, program management, and regulatory management on key points and projects
Prepares Letters to file, compliance solution outlines, and regulatory position statements that are customer facing pertaining to regulatory matters
Supports customer response management for regulatory resolution
Supports customers with regulatory NOV/Compliance response
Helps construct talking points for explaining impacts of pending/new regulations/regulatory interpretations/NOV’s
Supports elimination of Error/Issues created through internal process that result in customer risk/exposure
Support system changes or process improvements to enhance efficiencies, maintain or improve compliance, meet customer expectations, or improve the customer’s experience
Supports sales/customer services team to advise any regulatory response to wide variety of customers
Delivers training content on occasion to internal team on key regulatory topics (Subpart-P, Generator Rule, Aerosol Rule, e-Manifest, etc.)
Provides analysis of proposed or newly adopted regulations to determine opportunities for gaining market share, revenue growth, waste internalization, expanded processing capabilities, operational efficiencies, or expanded service options.
Development of internal written policies, procedures, SOPs, guidance documents
Marketing
Supports the creation of content for monthly customer newsletter
Supports the creation of content and present several webinars per year on regulatory updates
Assist sales personnel with developing Professional Service growth opportunities
Assist sales personnel with the development of Onsite Services
Acts and Project Manager supporting startup of Onsite Programs.
Supports Customer Advisory Board agenda and content
Acts as technical review for customer facing reports and data
Acts as liaison with One Clean Earth in the continued development of customer facing tools and systems.
Legislative and Regulatory Affairs
Monitors Federal, State, and Local level regulatory changes and proposed regulations
Monitors Federal and State legislative activity
Acts and technical support for customer facing regulatory questions.
Work closely with Clean Earth’s Environmental and Health and Safety Teams to promote and support Clean Earth’s safety and environmental compliance programs and policies
Professional Services – BILLABLE SERVICES
Part of team that provides professional services for customers, including:
License submittals
Annual and biennial reporting support
California CERS registrations and hazardous materials business plan submittals
Compliance training
Guidance and advice on generator status changes and waste generation reporting
Paying license and reporting fees on behalf of customers
Completion and submittal of EPA ID# notifications
Completion and submittal of Episodic Waste Generation notifications
Completion and submittal of Subpart P notifications
Regulatory agency NOV/penalty/citation response support, may or may not be billable
Regulatory Reporting Assistance
Formulary Review and Characterization
Dumpster Audit program management
Client Site Audit and recommendations
Development of customer-facing written policies, procedures, SOPs, guidance documents
Other
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Basic Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science related field (preferred) coupled with 12+ years of work experience in Regulatory Compliance – with experience with RCRA, DOT, TSCA, CERCLA and state regulations pertaining to Hazardous waste.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Commercial Sales and Customer Service Teams
Minimum 5 years providing Regulatory support for Customers
Minimum 5 years of supporting onsite services accounts and customers
Self-directed, with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in details; and strong phone contact handling skills, active listening and presentation skills.
Ability to work in high stress environments, managing several tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
Ability to Travel approximately 50% of time
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in ESG initiatives and Sustainability service offerings
Experience in On-site programs for Customers
Experience in OSHA regulations
