As Operations Supervisor, you will oversee a department, ensuring that customer orders are safely and accurately processed on time, according to all internal procedures and in compliance with all applicable regulations. You will ensure effective communications with internal and external teams, departments, customers and vendors to achieve Operations’ goals. Hire, train, develop, and manage performance of departmental staff to attain a cohesive, motivated team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain operational documentation to include reports, licenses, procedures, order requirements, etc.
Increase the production of the DEPAK Team by tracking metrics and aligning team members strengths with different tasks.
Ensure team always works safely and compliantly
Manage and communicate with other sites and corporate teams to coordinate work.
Communicate discrepancies and non-compliant materials to each locations points of contact.
Administer scheduled pickups and deliveries, including communications with customer to resolve issues or clarify requirements.
Responsible for purchasing for the facilities including generating purchase orders, work orders, and review of invoicing for services provided.
Support compliance with all federal, state and local permit requirements.
Communicate to management facility needs, difficulties and changes in operations.
Supervise segregation and packaging material for transport along with the completion of required paperwork in a legible, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and Customer/Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures.
Oversee large projects/jobs including managing a team of technicians. Schedule and distribute work to team. Instruct, provide feedback, direct and assist team in performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with requirements and Clean Earth policies, practices and procedures.
Train technicians and operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes and necessary paperwork. Provide training and coaching to team members as needed.
Follow all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures as outlined in Clean Earth procedures and policies.
Supervise work of non-exempt employees.
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
3+ years of experience in hazardous waste industry
3+ years of supervisory experience
Must be able to pass a DEA background check
Ability to wear company-provided personal protective equipment including eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
Preferred Qualifications:
Post-secondary education
40-hour Hazwoper course completion
Knowledge of RCRA and DOT regulations
Basic skills using Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
Experience with or knowledge of continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean, Agile, etc.)
Basic knowledge of or experience with project management
