General Purpose:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine laboratory tests in support of production.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform QA/QC on all samples for incoming waste
• Log all results into a computer data base and/or logbooks
• Notify Laboratory Manager and Operations Manager of off specification containers
• Maintain all lab equipment
• Make suggestions to Laboratory Manager on methods to improve laboratory flow and quality
• Operate the lab in a safe and efficient manner
• Aid the Laboratory Manager with inventory control of supplies
• Continually grow knowledge of laboratory information and expertise
• Properly log and perform all checks, standards and calibrations
• Occasional over-time and weekend work
• Use of company-provided personal protective equipment is required
• Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
   

Basic Required Qualifications:  

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ experience in a laboratory setting

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 or more years of prior laboratory experience 
• 40-hour HAZWOPER training
• Experience with basic lab techniques and calculations
• Knowledge of Gas Chromatography and/or ICP-OES
• Knowledge of chemical compatibilities
