Job Description

  • Perform sample preparation and analysis according to facility WASTE Analysis Plan, Quality Assurance Plan, and Chemical Hygiene Plan requirements in support of facility operations.
  • Perform data entry and associated records organization. 
  • Identify and reconcile material inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Clean up any spills and residues after operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation.
  • Always maintain proper housekeeping and safety in the lab.
  • Perform other routine laboratory duties.  That may include any of the follow: lab inspections, supply ordering, data review, and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associates degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related Science

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related Science
  • 2 or more years of prior laboratory experience 
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training
  • Experience with basic lab techniques and calculations
  • Knowledge of Gas Chromatography and/or ICP-OES
  • Knowledge of chemical compatibilities
