Job Description

Consolidate, treat, store, pack, transport and/or dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with environmentally responsible and cost-effective practices and Clean Earth policies, practices and procedures.  Provide outstanding service to clients.  Maintain records with accuracy and attention to detail. 

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Conduct large and small Lab Pack projects.  Segregate, pack, transport materials and complete documentation in accordance with all governmental, customer, and Clean Earth policies, practices and procedures
  • Perform on-site testing of unknown materials adhering to all regulations and company guidelines
  • Provide on-the-job training to Technicians and Operators in equipment operation, service line processes, and required documentation
  • Maintain records for DOT, DEA, and other government entities as assigned.  Instruct, provide feedback, direct and assist team in performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with all applicable regulations and internal policies, practices and procedures
  • Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in environmental science, biology, or chemistry
  • 40-hour Hazwoper certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, biology, or chemistry
  • Experience leading or supervising a team
  • High level of knowledge of RCRA, OSHA and DOT regulations pertaining to hazardous waste handling and transportation
  • Awareness of DEA regulations pertaining to controlled pharmaceuticals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
  • Willing and able to wear company-provided personal protective equipment including respirator, eye protection, foot protection, Tyvek coveralls, etc.
  • Willing and able to travel overnight via automobile/truck approximately 20% of the time.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
