Job Description

Summary
Serves as a liaison between Information Technology and Business Partners to identify and address business needs and resolve complex system problems. Documents functional specifications in detail and provides direction to technical staff in development. Provides project leadership for the development and support of new and existing applications. Possesses and maintains an up-to-date understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Demonstrates excellent communication skills throughout interaction with all levels of the organization. Provide support for user problem resolution.
Recommendations and activities are subject to a strict approval framework consistent with Corporate and division policies and procedures. Significant program changes are subject to an appropriate cost benefit analysis. Where appropriate, responsible for user training and support. Coordinate with other IT functions and travel to operating locations on an as needed basis.


Job Description
• Analyze business processes, identify, and propose new business processes or program changes to address specific requirements.
• Turn large amounts of raw data into actionable information for reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
• Create appropriate specification documents including time estimates.
• Identify, analyze, design, and develop program changes consistent with division and corporate standards and best practices.
• Identify and resolve errors or problems with existing programs.
• Identify, resolve, or improve on systems’ performance.
• Ensures all specifications and related activities comply with the global Enviri compliance standards and procedures, including coordinate application security reviews.
• Develops detailed functional specifications for hand-off to Developers.
• Develop supporting flowcharts, tables, diagrams, formulas, and methods for solving business problems, incorporating infrastructure requirements and interfaces.
• Research alternative business solutions and, where appropriate, document cost, recommend, present and justify such alternatives.
• Collaborates with the development team for configuration of business applications.
• Prepare and update necessary documentation and assist in developing and maintaining system documentation.
• Provide technical expertise to the users in solving application issues.
• Provide training to the users, when appropriate.
• Creates and maintains detailed project plans and work assignments. Achieves specified target dates and adheres to budget requirements.
• Complete multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines
• Actively participates in business planning activities
• Ability to evaluate multiple perspectives, collect evidence, ask questions, and use critical thinking skills to derive a conclusion and effectively communicate the conclusion.
• Evaluate, manage, and resolve requests in the ticketing system.

 


Qualifications

II. Basic Qualifications
A. Education
• Bachelor’s Degree required in Information Systems, Computer Science or a closely related discipline or equivalent experience.
B. Experience
• Must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a HR business analyst role or a minimum of three years’ experience in a HR functional role.
• ERP (HR) system experience.
• Demonstrated Change Management experience


III. Preferred Qualifications
A. Education or Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
• Five years experience in a business analyst role.
• Continuous improvement experience.
B. Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data.
• Ability to write in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
C. Technical Skills
• Computer software skills
• Analytical skills
D. Other Skills
• Ability to effectively plan, organize, and coordinate change management delivery


III. Essential Functions
A. Demonstrate the ability to understand business unit needs and recommend technology solutions that will enhance/improve current business processes. Project management skill is critical. Demonstrate specific technical skills in the area of the application and additional experience in related information systems, general database development and administration. Demonstrate a strong appreciation of related IT software and infrastructure services and a personal proactive approach to maintaining skills to a current level. Strong interpersonal skills are essential and an ability to communicate effectively with IT and Business Partners in problem resolution and training.
