The Director of Lab Pack Line of Business leads the development and execution of commercial strategies that drive product awareness, sales training, and revenue growth for the company. They oversee a range of activities including regional pricing development, campaign development, brand management, and customer relationship management. With a deep understanding of commercial needs and operational requirements, they guide the creation of compelling messaging and content that resonates with the target audience. Additionally, Product Line Directors often collaborate with other departments such as regional sales, National Sales, operations, and finance to ensure alignment and maximize the impact of commercial efforts on the overall business objectives.
- Gather market data relative to the customer verticals, competition, and new technologies in order to assess directions, threats, and opportunities.
- In conjunction with sales leadership, create sales training and sales support channels to augment the commercial focus on the specified line of business
- Ensure appropriate target customers by regional and vertical and coordinate with various sales leadership to ensure cross functional focus
- Develop seller/doer program in conjunction with operations to ensure needed support across the regions.
- Oversee specific regional or line of business marketing campaigns and subsequent results
- Work with Corporate Marketing to ensure targeted digital marketing and social medial presences
- Attend key customer meetings and QBR’s as appropriate to enhance product lines sales.
- Leads the development of value propositions for business units and trains commercial associates in value propositions.
- Overall responsibility for cross selling lab pack product line across verticals and sales regions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Concentration in Marketing/Communications
- 15 plus years related experience and/or training with a US based distributed services organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Field experience in selling and performing lab pack projects
- Knowledge of marketing/commerce and/or business economics with emphasis on industrial marketing
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct Sales and Operations Oversight related to area of responsibility.
- Experience in supporting all sales activities
- Develop and present commercial justification and is experienced in organizing seminars, lectures, workshops and trade fairs
