Reports to the Division General Counsel. Supports the sales team with the preparation of bids, qualification packages and contracts. Leads contract negotiations from inception to execution. Responsible for all aspects of contract review and adherence to company standards and escalations as required.
Primary Responsbilities (Essential Functions):
- Serves as point person to internal and external customers for contract preparation, review, negotiation, and administration.
- Coordinates the overall intake, review and negotiation of contracts from inception to execution to ensure adherence to company standards and escalations as required. Internal coordination with sales, legal, operations, risk, accounts receivable, transportation and other Clean Earth departments as required.
- Collaborates with internal business clients and attorneys on contract requirements.
- Responsible for the daily workflow and operations of contracts administration. This includes contract maintenance, redline/change reviews, contract entry/routing/changes, system updates and the accuracy of system data entry.
- Monitors, initiates and implements the standardization, improvement, streamlining and/or revision of processes related to contracts, bid preparation and completion of qualification packages.
- Develops, maintains, and prepares contract reporting, metrics and otherwise, for management and leadership team.
- Conducts training on contracting process for the sales team and others as needed.
- Works with sales representatives to organize, gather and prepare documentation to complete bid requests.
- Responds to customer requests related, but not limited to, vendor set-up documentation, project reporting and project close-out forms.
Qualifications
Basic Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience reviewing contracts
- Prior experience in the waste or construction industry preferred
- Excellent understanding of business management principles and practices
- Ability to understand and balance legal requirements with business requirements
- Able to work with and influence Sales, Operations, Legal, Risk, and other internal teams as well as customers
- Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization
- Solid communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
- Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines
- Creative, solutions-oriented thinker with the willingness and propensity to take action
- Sound knowledge in using Microsoft Office products, Adobe Standard or Pro
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior experience in the waste or construction industry
- Experience in using Salesforce.com
