As a Burner, you will be using your skill with an acetylene torch to cut, shape, and prepare steel for production and recycling. Your precision and attention to detail will directly influence our products, the efficiency of our processes, and the safety of our team. 

Operate an acetylene torch to cut, trim, or dismantle steel components according to specifications.

Read and interpret blueprints, cutting diagrams, and work orders to determine exact measurements and cutting sequences.

Inspect materials before and after cutting to ensure quality and accuracy.

Maintain and troubleshoot torch equipment, hoses, and regulators to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of PPE and adherence to hot work procedures.

Collaborate with crane operators, loaders, and other team members to move and position steel for cutting.

Basic Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Other:  Must be able to work in extreme temperatures as this position is performed outside

Preferred Qualifications:

        Technical Skills

·         Some experience with Oxygen/Gas Torch preferred
